Summary[]
The bonus chapter includes three short stories.
Mihaya hears that Kazuki quit a lucrative singing gig at a tavern. When he asks Kazuki for details, Kazuki reveals that he was annoyed that he was always paired with ladies who always sang songs about love. When he was partnered with a trio, one of them always begged Kazuki to sing only with her, which upset a regular. The regular caused a brawl, resulting in Kazuki being fired and his wages were garnished to pay for repairs and to pay off the customer. Now working as a dishwasher, a coworker hears Kazuki singing as he works and thinks that Kazuki misses being a singer.
Rona is looking forward to a ball being held by their cousin, but Eugena is not and rejects Rona's request that he attends more social functions. He stays outside at night, trying to catch a cold in hopes of avoiding the ball. Unfortunately, Rona ends up sick instead and she asks Eugena to go to the ball and tell her all about the experience. At the ball, Eugena thinks he should have taken a cold bath instead to make himself sick.
Kirito wonders what sort of work he should do and asks Suzu how he decided to become a herbalist. Suzu says he found a youth collasped one day, administered aid with herbs he picked, and realized the knowledge he gained from spending time outside could be used to help other people. The youth's parents offered him a reward, so Suzu asked for a book on herbalism. When Suzu presents the book he was given, Kirito complains Suzu's stories are too elaborate and he doesn't believe the story. Yuzuri asks what work Kirito is interested in, and he answers smithing or carpentry. Suzu and Yuzuri comment both smithing and carpentry would be helpful skills, and Kirito later thinks to himself he hopes nobody asks him his career origin story because it's not very interesting.
