The Wirant Castle is the Clarines castle from which Haruto Wistaria carried out most of her regency before Izana Wistaria ascended to the throne in Wistal. It is the royal castle which lies at the northern end of the Wirant administrative district and acts as the administrative core and overlooks the castletown of Wolkitra.
History[]
Haruto moved to the northern castle after her workload and grief in the face of her husband's death began making her ill in Wistal. The move served the dual purpose of helping her health and overseeing and checking the Bergatt House which had been expanding it's power in Wirant and taking advantage of the mountains and weather isolating it from the rest of Clarines to ignore the crown and try to build a power base that would make them rival to the Wistarias. Following Izana's coronation Haruto returned to Wirant Castle and continues to rule as a lord of the north entirely supportive and respectful to the crown as she awaits the day her youngest son Zen Wistaria takes up the challenging role.
